Dear Valued Patient,
Olympic Internal Medicine is here for you during the COVID-19 pandemic and our community’s phased reopening plan. As businesses start opening up in our county and people are getting back to work, we want you to know our healthcare team is working diligently to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff during this global health crisis.
For your safety, masks are required to be worn through the duration of your visit to our practice. These guidelines were established based on the recommendations set forth by the Kitsap Public Health District and the Washington State Department of Health. If you are unable to wear a mask, please contact your provider to discuss alternative options. You may be asked to schedule a virtual appointment or wear a face shield.
We are also screening all patients and visitors for symptoms of the virus, performing temperature checks, and practicing strict infection control protocols, and enforcing physical distancing at our practice.
Our practice is testing those patients who are presenting symptoms of COVID-19 according to the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health.
Remember to follow the hygiene and social distancing guidelines listed below:
- Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick
- Wear a face mask when in public
- Stay six feet apart from others in public settings
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces regularly with disinfecting sprays or wipes
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or use your elbow, and avoid touching your eyes, face, mouth, or nose.
If you are experiencing severe respiratory symptoms, have a high fever, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing, contact our office to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19. If you are in respiratory distress, call 911.
If you have mild symptoms like cough, low-grade fever, or other respiratory problems, stay home and contact our office.
We are available to schedule a Virtual Care Appointment if you need to see your provider and are experiencing symptoms you may believe are COVID-19. Call our office at (360) 377-3923. We will assess your symptoms and help determine if you need to be seen by your provider.
